My Vision:

I am passionate about what I do and am highly value-driven in my approach. All my coaching follows my quality plan, and I transparently publish my feedback. I have spent my career in training and coaching (over 20 years) and I believe coaching should be dynamic, engaging and fun without ever losing sight of clear developmental goals. You need to know what you have achieved and where you are going.

I believe that coaching focused on the unique context of the client can be transformative in a short space of time. For this to work I invest the time upfront to understand your needs. We then go on a journey together in working out what is blocking you and what resources you need to move forward. My approach is centred on positive psychology and the belief that you have, within you, a huge potential to make changes.

Things I am proud about:

  • That I have built my own business in something I care deeply about and that I can make a difference to the people I work with.

  • I have delivered over 10,000 hours of training and coaching but I still get the same buzz.

  • That my clients are loyal and have stayed with me for many years and over periods of deep crisis such as Covid-19.

  • That I blend coaching and training. I am a certified coach (ACC) with the International Coaching Federation and came top of my year group in completing my Post Graduate Certificate in Education at The Institute of Education, University of London. I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Personal and Business Coaching from the University of Chester.

  • Feedback: I average well over 4.8 out of 5 across 10 quality areas, across 100s of corporate clients since I founded TLP in Luxembourg in 2013.

  • The rich diversity of my clients. My clients range from individual to large multinationals, and have included factories, banks, investment funds, law firms, European Institutions, IT start ups and universities.

  • That I can use my own business experience in my work. I started my career at Unilever as a fast-track graduate trainee, and then worked as a regulator in the UK’s Qualifications and Standards Agency before creating my own business in 2010.

  • That I published a book on what I do. My book 'Qualifications in the UK, How to make the right choices' (Rivington, 2011) explains how to judge the quality of training courses.

  • Contact me - toby@tlp.lu to have a chat.

  • I am a nature guy who loves hiking, camping and bird watching with my family! I also love good coffee and pretty much every sport! I can talk about football for hours on end - if I get the opportunity!!
